Having trouble added Codes and friends in general?

Hey Guys,
I started playing a while back and decided to deactivate my account as I went wrong and just sold all my cards (oops!right?), So anyway I made a new account but now for some reason I'm not receiving friend requests and my friends aren't acquiring them either? Any help please
