How beneficial is maxing cards for evolution?

Post by 0btuse on Fri Dec 06, 2013 1:11 am

I noticed that I get a bonus to stats when I evolve usiong maxed level cards.
How big and how relevant are these bonuses?

I have not tested yet, but will tomorrow probably if I can find my old phone for a second account. However most likely there is not a great enough benefit to weigh the cost of maxing Normals.

However, there is quite possibly a worthwhile bonus to max Rares, and definitely for SRares. What ratio is most cost/time effective is the important question.

Just note that levels only help the next evolution, so if you plan on evolving a card two or more times, the only relevant enchanting is for the level just before the final level.

This is true, however if you enchant Base the Base+ is higher stats for when you make Base++. So theoretically if you enchant all the way up the Rare will be higher than if you just enchanted the +++ cards.

However, I have not tested this and if you have lucatious, then recognize your effort. However, the real question still is all the enchanting worth it? If it is only a 5% increase, might not be worth enchanting 16 cards.

I found a external forum post with definite answers but i cant post links. So.....

homishooter wrote:After burning nearly 500k of gold ... this is the conclusion.

enchant carry over ONLY apply to the previous rarity level.

Example.
if you enchant ALL 8 of N cards.
Make N+ and enchant ALL of N+.
Make N++ and enchant ALL of N++.
Make a N+++
Cost: 14x enchanting to lv5

IS THE SAME AS
<make N++ without enchanting the lower levels.>
enchant the N++ to max.
then evolve N++ to N+++
Cost: 2x Enchanting to lv5

With this in mind, only enchant if it is the last tier that you want to keep OR it is the second to last tier.
AKA. Enchant Rare cards only. Unless you want to keep lower level cards as they are.

Awesome, so sounds like it doesn't carry over a % of stats like in RoB, it is more so it carries over 1 level of enchanting. So yeah, Enchanting Rares only for now. Smile

Thanks Obtuse, that's a very useful inf. Also do you need both the Rares (for example) to lv 10 before evolving or just the one? I had 1 lv 10 Rose + lv 0 Rose and got Rose+ with some bonuses to stats.

No problem Krass! Here's another quote from the same forum.

Gamevil wrote:Greetings!

We'd like to provide some important formula regarding how the card stats work!

You all should know there are 4 card levels in game!

Yes, as you already know, there are Normal (N), High Normal (HN), Rare (R), and Super Rare (SR) cards.

You can evolve by using 2 cards and become stronger (except HN and some other cards).

And we know you're trying really hard to evolve cards and equip stronger cards on your squad.

Here's the formula where the stats prior to the evolving process carry over to a newly evolved card.

((10 -20% of Card 1's current stats) + (10 -20% of Card 2's current stats)) / 2
※ However, level 1 cards do not apply carryover stats.

Still didn't get it? Here's an example for you.

Your Card 1's ATK is 100. If the Card 1's carryover stat rate is 10%, then your carryover ATK stat from Card 1 after the evolving process will be 10.

Your Card 1's ATK is 100. If the Card 2's carryover stat rate is 20%, then your carryover ATK stat from Card 2 after
the evolving process will be 20.

(10 + 20)/2 = 15

So the total carryover stats from both cards to a newly evolved card will be 15.

What are we trying to say here? Try enchanting cards, then evolving to receive a stronger card with more
carryover stats.

With the formula, you may have some questions like the following.

1) Do I need to enchant both cards? Is it better than to enchant only 1 card?

2) Does evolving 2 N+++ cards to get a Rare card give more carryover stats?

Yes, and yes! Enchanting cards will give you more stats on a newly evolved card.

Make sure to enchant them before evolving!!

Have a great journey in the world of Spirit Stones!

So yes, it would be better to max both cards to get the maximum bonus stats. Not sure how to determine which card gets the 20% or carryover rate though.

Good read! I was afraid that if I enchant a card I use, then evolve it, all the enchants would go to waste. It's very expensive but maybe you could make some powerful cards on your own that way (instead of gambling with them gems).

I evolved lv5 Rogue and lv5 Dancer to get Sword Dancer, and there was a notice:

Carryover Stats

ATK+9
HP+97

Not bad I guess
